class=\"hero__content\">\n\t\t\t<h1>Baseline<\/h1>\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"hero__buttons\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The baseline for Generation Study Abroad was data from the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.iie.org\/about\/Announcements\/2013\/11\/2013-11-11-Open-Doors-Data\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Open Doors 2013 Report<\/a>, which reported that in academic year 2011\/12, 283,332 students participated in credit bearing and 12,758 students participated in non-credit bearing programs. While that may sound like a lot, it in fact represented less than 10% of the 2.6 million students graduating with associates or baccalaureate degrees each year.&nbsp;Our target was 600,000 U.S. students studying abroad in credit and non-credit programs by the end of the decade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex
