When repressive regimes or extremist groups aim to consolidate power and suppress any form of dissent, scholars are often the first to be targeted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iie.org\/programs\/scholar-rescue-fund\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IIE Scholar Rescue Fund<\/a> helps scholars facing unimaginable threats to their lives and livelihoods escape danger, relocate to a safe country, and re-establish themselves as teachers, researchers, writers, and intellectuals.
